ViaCerber is designed to collect as little personal data as possible. This summary explains what we process and why.
Location
Your precise location is processed on your device to show your speed and the limit and to warn you about what's ahead. It is sent to our servers only as an approximate area to fetch nearby dangers, or as the exact point of a report you choose to submit.
No account
ViaCerber uses an anonymous, per-install identifier so the service can rate-limit and de-duplicate reports. It does not require an account or collect your name, contacts, or advertising identifiers.
Community reports
Reports you submit are shared anonymously with other drivers and expire automatically over time. Submit accurate reports only, and never while distracted.
Data sources
Speed-limit and camera data are derived in part from OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL). Maps and location use Apple frameworks.
Your rights
Subject to your local law you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your data. Because reports are anonymous we may be unable to link them to you. Contact privacy@viacerber.com.
